The Katana Sparring version is a tool for sparring, it is not meant to be exactly constructed as a historical katana. This way we can keep the exact functionality, and also keep the price down.

Also, if you just want a katana for sparring, and you are not interested on a historical assembly of the different parts, this is the katana for you. Unlike Katana Pro version, this one has strongly fitted parts because we are not limited by historical assembly methods, so this version will have less maintenance requirements.

Blade with historical geometry and Shinogi, and cotton Tsuka Ito. Safe for training and sparring, flexible blade for safe thrusts.

Steel 51CrV4 in UE / 6150 in USA. Hardness 49-52 Hrc.
